.::Best traveling season in Turkey::.
Cruising season lasts from April to the end of October. The climate during this summer period varies as follows:
- In April we have the summit of the famous wild flower season (orchids, daisy's and poppy's), The weather is bright with some days having a little rain. The ancient sites are all in bloom.
- May and June are still green, with some spring flowers. The weather is warm during the day and mild in the evenings. The sea is fresh for swimming (but not as much as the north-sea!).
- By late July and early August the weather is hot, with warm evenings and good swimming but with strong offshore-winds at noon.
- In September and October the vegetation is dry, but the weather is balmy, cooling off in the evenings, and the sea is warm and at its best for swimming. These are the halcyon days....
