.::: BODRUM :::.

One of the most beautiful cities on the Aegean coast, known in ancient times as Halicarnassus; Bodrum was the birthplace of Herodotus and the site of King Mausolus's Tomb (4th century B. C. ), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which's remains are to be found in the walls of crusader's castle dominating Bodrum marina and town.

The castle has been converted into the Museum of Underwater Archeology, with remains dating as far back as the Bronze Age. Cevat Sakir, homme de lettres and exiled to Bodrum, made a splendid white town from this remote fisher-village and created the "Blue Voyage".
